Beeswax CandleUpdated a month ago

Where is the candle made?

The candles are made in the U.S.A. and the Beeswax is harvested from North American bees. The beeswax is humanely harvested. The jar and lid come from China.

Does the candle have a scent?

The candle is fragrance-free, but because it is made from 100% Beeswax, honey and scents from bee pollination will exist. Scents may vary based on what the bees used to pollinate.

Can I put the lid on after burning the candle?

Yes. We recommend you put the lid on after you burn the candle to keep the candle clean. Please make sure the candle has completely cooled prior to putting the lid on.

Can I recycle the candle jar and the lid?

Yes. Both the jar and lid can be recycled, but may vary by community. Please check with your local recycling center.

Does the candle come in a giftable box?

Yes. The candle is packaged in a beautiful box that you would love to gift.

What are the candle and container made from?

The candle is made from 100% humanely harvested beeswax with an organic cotton wick. The candle container is made from lead-free decorated glass with lead-free paint. The lid to the container is made from natural pine wood with a silicone seal.

What is the burn time of the candle?

Burn times vary due to the nature of Beeswax. The average burn time of the candle is 40 hours. This is a typical burn time for candles made out of Beeswax.

When burning a beeswax candle, it burns at a very high temperature so it will be very hot in the center and can take a while for the heat of the wick to burn a larger perimeter. The more hours you burn your candle, the more it will open up and will eventually burn down the sides.

How is a beeswax candle different from other candles?

Beeswax burns differently than any other wax, and changes composition depending on what the bees are pollinating from. No two candles will burn the same. They may burn unevenly, but that’s the nature of beeswax. If you follow our care instructions you’ll enjoy the full length of the candle!

How do I care for my Beeswax Candle?

Beeswax tends to burn differently than other wax. Here are some tips for burning your candle:

1. Do not trim the wick before the first burn. It is pre-cut at the perfect length. However, please make sure it is straight/upright before lighting it.

2. Before the second burn, and every time after that, trim the wick to ¼”.

3. Burn the candle for at least 3½ hours each time. Beeswax burns at a very high temperature so it will be very hot in the center and can take a while for the heat of the wick to burn a larger perimeter. The more hours you burn your candle, the more it will open up and will eventually burn down the sides.

4. Do not blow out the candle to extinguish it. Instead use a metal tool to push the lit wick into the wax pool. This immediately extinguishes embers, and prevents smoke and soot from getting into the air.

5. After extinguishing the candle, return the wick upright.

6. Once the candle has cooled, place the lid on the candle to protect it from dirt and debris.
