How do I care for my candle?Updated 15 days ago

Beeswax tends to burn differently than other wax. Here are some tips for burning your candle:

1. Do not trim the wick before the first burn. It is pre-cut at the perfect length. However, please make sure it is straight/upright before lighting it.

2. Before the second burn, and every time after that, trim the wick to ¼”.

3. Burn the candle for at least 3 ½” hours each time. Beeswax burns at a very high temperature so it will take a while for the heat of the wick to burn a larger perimeter. This will help with a more even burn over time.

4. Do not blow out the candle to extinguish it. Instead use a metal tool to push the lit wick into the wax pool. This immediately extinguishes embers, and prevents smoke and soot from getting into the air.

5. After extinguishing the candle, return the wick upright.

6. Once the candle has cooled, place the lid on the candle to protect it from dirt and debris.
